I’m Jemma, a qualified primary teacher with over six years’ experience across mainstream education, SEND and alternative provision. I’m passionate about helping children feel confident and successful in their learning, particularly those who may not always thrive with a one-size-fits-all approach.
I teach English and Maths across the primary age range and have experience supporting children with a wide variety of learning needs, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and school-related anxiety.
My lessons are friendly, encouraging and tailored to the individual child. I enjoy finding creative and practical ways to make learning accessible, building from each child’s starting point and interests while maintaining clear learning goals. I want children to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and having a go, so that alongside developing their academic skills, they also grow in confidence and begin to see themselves as capable learners.
